Man of the Match: Defender Andrew Brody made his 101st USL Championship appearance and helped the Monarchs to its second-consecutive home clean sheet. Shoring up the left side of the formation, Brody tallied four tackles, one interception and eight duels won. In the attack, the Orlando, Florida native created a chance and recorded two successful crosses.

Telling Stat: RSL Academy forward Axel Kei became the youngest to ever debut for an American professional sports team at 13 years, nine months and nine days when he entered the match for the Monarchs as a substitute in the 61st minute. Kei also subsequently broke the USL Championship record previously held by Phoenix Rising forward Ansuh Kanneh, who made his debut at 14 years, 10 months and one day.

What You Missed: The Monarchs starting XI featured seven Real Salt Lake first team members. Making his first Monarchs appearance, Bobby Wood was joined by Zac MacMath, Andrew Brody, Ashtone Morgan, Justin Portillo, Bode Davis and Milan Iloski in the lineup with Real Salt Lake off for the international break. Additionally, Head Coach Jamison Olave missed tonight’s match due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols and was replaced on the bench by Assistant Coach Cody Warden.
