Man of the Match: Midfielder Christian Nydegger provided bite and grit in the brawl with Earthquakes II. Nydegger led the team with three shots while also winning 50% of his duels. In the 79th minute, Nydegger give-and-go with Benjamin Rodriguez led to a diving header from the Utah native which flew just wide of the goal. As the team pressed for the equalizer, Nydegger provided the spark for the team, serving as one of the main points of service for a flurry of crosses in the final quarter-hour of play.
