HERRIMAN, Utah (Wednesday October 14, 2026) - Utah Royals FC announced today the extension of forward Jameese Joseph through the 2029 NWSL season with a mutual option for 2030.
The Utah Royals acquired the 24-year-old forward during the 2026 NWSL summer transfer window from Chicago Stars FC where she featured in 63 matches since joining the club after being selected 15th overall by the Chicago Red Stars (now Chicago Stars) in the 2024 NWSL Draft. After enjoying a successful rookie season where Joseph netted three goals and two assists, the forward continued to showcase her high-level striking abilities to bring her career stats with Chicago to seven goals and three assists across her nearly three seasons with the club.
The Maryland native netted her first goal of the 2026 NWSL season on August 23, opening up the scoring for Chicago in the 3-2 victory against Racing Louisville. After landing in the Wasatch Front in September, Joseph hit the ground running, featuring in her first match with the Royals just days after her arrival, coming in as a second half substitute and immediately showcasing her speed and abilities to create both on and off the ball.
While Joseph has continued to impress on the club level she has also been featured at multiple stages of the U.S. international levels. The forward was most recently called up to represent the U-23 squad as one of four overage players but she made her senior team debut for Head Coach Emma Hayes on November 28, 2025, a 3-0 victory over Italy.
As URFC continues to build and continue to become a formidable threat within the NWSL, the addition of Joseph to the Royals roster for seasons to come bolsters the already powerful offense and although she hasn’t been with the club long, her striking power and creativity on the pitch will be important as Utah looks to make its first-ever playoff push.
