Megan Gephard was honored as the RSL Season Ticket Member of the Match on Saturday, September 13, during the Club’s annual Kick Childhood Cancer Night. A devoted fan for 13 seasons, Megan has built a treasure trove of RSL memories.
Her favorite moment came in 2014, when Álvaro Saborío returned from injury during a match against FC Dallas. Subbed in during the 76th minute, Sabo stunned the crowd by scoring just five seconds later. Megan remembers cheering so hard she lost her voice, shouting, “He just came back from injury! Fastest return goal ever!” RSL went on to win the match 2–1.
Her all-time favorite player is Nick Rimando—The Wall of the Wasatch. Megan loved his energy, his clutch saves, and the unforgettable chant that echoed through the stadium: “Nick Rimando!” His presence on the field and legacy with the team continue to hold a special place in her heart. Cheering on RSL—rain, shine, or snow—remains one of Megan’s greatest joys.
