HERRIMAN, Utah (Monday, March 23, 2025) - Real Salt Lake wingback Juan Manuanel Sanabria will report to Uruguay during the March FIFA International break in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Headlining the March international class for the Claret-and-Cobalt composed of seven athletes is Uruguayan World Cup hopeful Sanabria. The winger with the nickname “JuanMa” will help lead La Celeste as it participates in two European-based friendlies, first at ‘The Home of Football,’ London’s legendary Wembley Stadium, as Uruguay faces England on Friday, March 27, prior to closing camp against Algeria on Tuesday, March 31, in Naples, Italy.

Appearing in the Club’s last four matches - three victories and one draw - after being acquired by RSL late in the 2026 offseason via transfer from Liga MX side Atlético San Luis, Sanabria has integrated into the squad quickly logging four consecutive starts after missing the season opener, notching two assists for the Claret-and-Cobalt in RSL’s 2-1 home win on Feb. 28 over Seattle Sounders FC and 2-2 draw on Mar. 22 at San Diego FC.

Originally included in USYNT’s roster announcements on Mar. 20 to participate with their respective U21 and U19 squads, RSL homegrowns Zavier Gozo and Aiden Hezarkhani will not report to the Stars-and-Stripes and travel back to the Wasatch Front after Sunday’s 2-2 draw at San Diego FC.

Following this weekend’s FIFA International break, Real Salt Lake will return to action on April 4, hosting long-time rival Sporting Kansas City. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 pm MT, with tickets available HERE.
