Preview: Real Salt Lake at Seattle Sounders FC

SANDY, Utah (Saturday, October 24, 2015) – Real Salt Lake culminates the current MLS regular season with a #DecisionDay trip to the Pacific Northwest on Sunday, visiting Western Conference rival Seattle Sounders FC in the club’s 2015 finale. Sunday’s match at Century Link Field in downtown Seattle is part of Major League Soccer’s concurrent 5:00 p.m. MT kickoffs in match-week 34, with pre-game coverage airing live ESPN700 AM at 4:00 p.m. MT, while KMYU (2.2 air, 12 satellite, 22/643 Comcast) presents the game in Utah and surrounding states beginning at 4:30.

Sunday’s match is RSL’s last until next February, when Head Coach Jeff Cassar’s club kicks off a home-and-away series against Liga MX side Tigres, based in Monterrey, Mexico. RSL captured the third overall seed in the 2015/16 CONCACAF Group G Quarterfinal stage with last Tuesday’s 1-0 home win over Municipal, as MF Javier Morales set up DF Jamison Olave on a corner kick header. Morales – RSL’s leader in goals (8) and assists (11) in this 2015 MLS season – has assisted on each of the last four CCL goals by RSL, setting up FW Joao Plata, FW Olmes Garcia and FW Juan Manuel Martinez to make just one goal conceded by GKs Nick Rimando and Jeff Attinella stand up against both Municipal (Guatemala) and Santa Tecla FC (El Salvador).
