Stories to Watch:

DĂ©jĂ  vu

The two sides recently faced each other at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 18 with RSL claiming a thrilling last-gasp victory with goals from Erik Holt and Damir Kreilach to secure the 3-1 victory.

Home and Away?

Real Salt Lake has earned a 2-2-3 record when playing at the RioT this season, with the most recent game resulting in a 1-0 loss against LAFC. As the away team RSL has a 1-1-1 record and as the visiting team on Wednesday they will look to add another win to that column.

Something's Gotta Give

Vancouver enters Wednesday’s match winless through seven games dating back to May 8 when they defeated Montreal 2-0. Despite their winless streak they have picked up results in their last two matches against FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders, playing to a 2-2 draw in each game.

Connections: Due to the ongoing pandemic Real Salt Lake and Vancouver Whitecaps have been sharing Rio Tinto Stadium as both of their home stadiums. Since March, RSL has hosted the Whitecaps, with them fully based out of Rio Tinto Stadium and training at America First Field. This will be the second time the two sides go against one another since Vancouver made the temporary move to Utah.
